Тhe Dutch presidency of the European Union

Prioritiesof the Dutch presidency of the European Union in the second half of this year will be the enlargement of the European Union, sustainable growth of the European economy, security, a sound European multi-annual budget and a more effective role of the EU in the world. The Netherlandsalso plans to start a debate with the Union’s citizens and governments on common European values as well as on how to advance European integration and cooperation.
