The Department for Planning, Programming, Monitoring and Reporting on EU Funds and Development Assistance performs tasks is headed by Assistant Minister Branko Budimir.
The Department for Planning, Programming, Monitoring and Reporting on EU Funds and Development Assistance performs tasks related to the following: establishing a system for managing programmes financed from European Union structural funds and the Cohesion fund of the European Union; determining development objectives and priorities for financing from IPA funds and European Union structural funds and the Cohesion fund of the European Union, as well as for financing from development assistance; preparation of planning and programme documents defining development goals and priorities for financing from IPA funds, the European Union's structural funds and Cohesion fund and also from development assistance; prioritisation and selection of priority projects planned for financing from IPA funds, the European Union's structural funds and Cohesion fund and development assistance, including expert and administrative technical tasks related to the National Investment Committee; monitoring of the implementation of programmes and projects financed from IPA funds, the European Union's structural funds and Cohesion fund and development assistance, and preparation of reports on their implementation; organisation of programme evaluation, as well as monitoring the implementation of recommendations from the evaluation reports for programmes financed from IPA, the European Union’s structural funds and Cohesion fund and development assistance; establishment and development of a system for coordination of international development assistance, including the functioning of sector working groups for planning and programming of development assistance; alignment of strategies and cooperation programmes of development partners with development goals and priorities and objectives of the Republic of Serbia and realisation of cooperation with competent bodies and organisations of state administration, regional and local self-government and civil society organisations; development and improvement of the information system related to management and implementation of programmes financed from IPA funds and the European Union's structural funds and Cohesion fund and development assistance; reporting to the competent authorities, the Government and international institutions on the implementation of programmes financed from EU funds and development assistance, as well as other activities in this field.
For the purpose of performing the tasks falling within the scope of the Department for Planning, Programming, Monitoring and Reporting on EU Funds and Development Assistance, the following internal units are established:
1. Division for Planning and Programming of EU Funds and Development Assistance in Areas of Institutional Building and Social Development;
2. Division for Planning and Programming of EU Funds and Development Assistance in Areas of Economic, Infrastructure and Regional Development;
3. Division for Monitoring and Reporting on EU Funds and Development Assistance in Areas of Institutional Building and Social Development;
4. Division for Monitoring and Reporting on EU Funds and Development Assistance in Areas of Economic, Infrastructure and Regional Development;
5. Group for Establishment and Development of Management System for Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund of the EU;
6. Group for Communication Activities and Horizontal Affairs.
