Development of System for Management of Cohesion Policy (IPA 2015)

Project Development of System for Management of Cohesion Policy is financed by EU within IPA 2015 in the amount of approximately 2.7 million euros. The main aim of the project is to prepare Serbian public administration for the effective implementation of the EU Cohesion Policy.

The main purpose of the project is to enhance capacities in Serbian institutions at the national and sub-national levels for effective preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and projects financed through structural funds and the Cohesion Fund. It consists of three components:

1) Establishment of a legal and institutional framework for EU Cohesion Policy,

2) Preparation of relevant planning and programming documents for EU Cohesion Policy, and

3) Development of capacities of institutions and bodies nominated for implementation of Cohesion Policy, as well as partners and potential beneficiaries at the national and sub-national levels.

The project will, in that manner, contribute to a successful implementation of measures defined in the Action Plan for Chapter 22, which represents an opening benchmark for starting the negotiations within the Chapter.

Implementation of the project has started in July 2019 and it will last for 36 months. The main beneficiary and coordinator of activities is the Ministry of European Integration.
