10th Competition for the Best Student Papers on the European Union Announced

The Ministry of European Integration of the Government of the Republic of Serbia has announced the 10th competition for the selection of the best individual student papers on European integration and Serbia’s accession process to the European Union.

The aim of this award competition is to directly engage young members of the academic community in an open, evidence-based debate on important aspects of the accession process and the future membership of the Republic of Serbia in the European Union.

This year, submitted papers should address one of the following three topics:

  1. The Cultural Dimensions of European Integration and the Preservation of National Identity
  2. Serbia’s Foreign Policy Orientation in the Context of European Integration
  3. “Will Europe Become What It Truly Is: A Small Cape of the Asian Continent?”

A committee composed of relevant experts, including professors and lecturers, will evaluate the quality of the submitted papers. The authors of the three highest-ranked papers will receive awards of RSD 110,000, RSD 80,000, and RSD 60,000, respectively.

In addition to the three winning papers, the Ministry will publish other submissions that meet the required criteria in an electronic collection of student papers.

The competition is open to students enrolled in undergraduate academic studies and master’s academic studies at all universities in the Republic of Serbia.

The deadline for submitting papers is 16 November 2026.
