The Minister of European Integration, Nemanja Starović, met today in Belgrade with a youth delegation of the Democratic Rally of Cyprus, a member of the European People’s Party, led by Member of the Cypriot Parliament Demos Georgiades.
Minister Starović emphasised that Serbia attaches great importance to its relations with Cyprus, a significant partner within the European Union that provides strong and consistent political support for the accession of the Republic of Serbia. He also expressed his appreciation for Cyprus’s principled position regarding respect for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
Over the course of the meeting, the participants exchanged views on Serbia’s European integration process, current political challenges in Europe, and the role of young people in strengthening democratic processes and international cooperation.
The interlocutors underscored the significance of parliamentary and political cooperation between Serbia and Cyprus. In particular, they expressed their mutual readiness to continue exchanging experiences in areas of relevance to European integration and youth.
