Minister for European Integration Nemanja Starović met today in Belgrade with Ambassador Andreas von Beckerath, the newly appointed Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia, welcoming him and wishing him a successful mandate in our country.
During their meeting, Minister Starović emphasised that European integration is a strategic priority for the Republic of Serbia, reaffirming the country’s firm commitment to implementing the necessary reforms in line with the European agenda. The Minister highlighted the importance of continuous progress in the reform process, which aims not only to accelerate EU membership negotiations but, above all, to build a better and more prosperous society, strengthen the rule of law, and reinforce domestic institutions. He particularly emphasised the significance of EU support for internal reforms through the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which is expected to accelerate economic development and facilitate integration into European processes.
