Representatives from the Ministry of European Integration participated in the 11th Regional CBC Consultative Forum, which was held from 11 to 13 June 2025 in Shëngjin, Albania.
The forum brought together representatives of competent institutions from participating countries, EU Delegations, the European Commission, and other partners to exchange experiences, review results, and improve the implementation of IPA cross-border cooperation programmes.
During the three-day event, discussions focused on the status and challenges in the implementation of IPA II and IPA III programmes, as well as on plans for the coming period. Special attention was given to issues of visibility and communication, project capitalisation, new monitoring and reporting tools, as well as improving synergies between IPA-IPA and Interreg-IPA programmes.
The Ministry of European Integration presented the project “Joint Actions for Rural Tourism Development”, implemented under the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia–Montenegro 2014–2020, as an example of good practice.
The forum also included thematic sessions on the role of the programmes in macro-regional strategies, as well as bilateral and tripartite programme meetings aimed at better coordination and resolving current issues.
The forum concluded with the message that strengthening cross-border cooperation remained a shared priority and that efforts must continue to improve the quality of life in border regions through joint initiatives and partnerships.
