“We want all candidate countries to have a tangible prospect of EU membership, and to achieve that, in my opinion, the accession process must be structured in a way that allows the final goal to be reached – so that the path to membership does not become endless. Serbia is committed to its European path; it is our strategic orientation, which we are diligently pursuing by working on meeting the benchmarks for EU membership,”
Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović spoke yesterday at the panel “Enlargement: Moving Towards Reality?”, at the GLOBSEC 2025 Forum, which opened in Prague. Other speakers at the panel included Dino Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Oleksandr Kornienko, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; Sebastian Kurz, former Chancellor of Austria; and Jan Růžička, Chief External Affairs Officer of the PPF Group. Nemanja Starović also participated in the panel “Defining Competitive Advantage in Critical Raw Materials: Europe, USA, China and the Global Race.” In addition, Minister Starović held a bilateral meeting with Montenegrin Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević.
Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović also attended a formal dinner in Prague last night at the GLOBSEC 2025 Forum, marking the 20th anniversary of the international forum. At this two-day Central European conference, held under the patronage of Czech President Petr Pavel and the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives from nearly 80 countries are discussing major geopolitical, security, and economic challenges and Europe’s role in addressing them. Minister Starović had several bilateral meetings before and during the evening, including a brief conversation with Czech President Petr Pavel.
