 Public call for financing and co-financing of civil society organisations’ projects for 2023 announced

Ministry of European Integration of the Government of Serbia announced today the public call for financing and co-financing of projects in the area of information about the European Union and Serbia’s EU integration process, aimed at encouraging a public debate on topics related to the EU and the accession of Serbia to the European Union.

The public call is aimed at civil society organisations involved in providing information about the EU and the benefits of Serbia’s accession to the European Union, and they address primarily young people – high school and university students.

The umbrella area of this year’s public call is “Young people and the European Union – what membership brings”, where applicants will have the opportunity to address one of the following topics:

1. European Union and education – possibilities, opportunities, and experiences of high school and university students, active participation of young people in the EU integration processes through EU programmes: Erasmus Plus, HORIZON Europe, Creative Europe (Culture and Media), European Solidarity Corps programme, Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme…

2. EU and national and cultural identity: facts and prejudices;

3. What membership brings us – EU policies: environment and the European Union;

4. Media literacy – understanding critical and analytical media content about the EU and Serbia’s EU integration process. Why is that important?

5. Let us get to know our neighbours – promotion and information about programmes for cross-border cooperation in which Serbia participates with Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The value of an individual project that civil society organisations can propose to the Ministry of European Integration for financing/co-financing is up to RSD 1,625,000.00.

Associations and foundations based in the Republic of Serbia are eligible to apply for the allocation of funds for project financing and co-financing, and the public call is open from 30 March to 20 April 2023.

You can find all information about the public call on the official website of the Ministry of European Integration (www.mei.gov.rs) or you can request additional information at: natasa.savic@mei.gov.rs.
