Assistant Minister of European Integration Miroslav Gačević met today with Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Ecuador Carolina Maldonado.
During the meeting, Gačević presented the European integration process of the Republic of Serbia to his interlocutor. During the discussion, particular emphasis was placed on further cooperation, the enhancement of bilateral relations, and opportunities for expanding trade exchange and economic ties between Serbia and Ecuador.
The Serbian side expressed gratitude to Ecuador for its principled position and support for Serbia’s territorial integrity through its non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo.
Ecuador’s representatives also expressed their country’s interest in participating in the World Exhibition EXPO 2027, which will be held in Belgrade. This will present an additional opportunity to strengthen cooperation between our peoples.
