The deadline for submission of project concepts under the current second call of the Romania–Serbia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme has been extended

The Monitoring Committee of the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Programme has approved the extension of the deadline for submission of project concepts under the current second call. The new deadline is 23 May 2025.

This extension represents an excellent opportunity for interested applicants to prepare high-quality projects that will have a significant impact on environmental protection in the cross-border area, specifically in the following fields: renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the Romania–Serbia border area, in line with the European Union’s strategic goals such as a “greener Europe,” that is, the reduction of harmful gas emissions, promotion of the transition to clean and safe energy sources, green investments, climate change adaptation, as well as risk prevention and management.

Concepts should be submitted via email to the following addresses: romania-serbia@mdlpa.gov.ro and ipacbc@brct-timisoara.ro.

With a total budget of EUR 10.3 million, of which EUR 8.8 million is from IPA funds, the second call for project proposals promotes cross-border investments in sustainable development in the Romania–Serbia Programme area.
