Call for Applications for the Position of the Danube Youth Council Member of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR)

The Ministry of European Integration, as the national coordinator of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), hereby informs all interested young people aged 18 to 29 that the call for applications for the position of the Danube Youth Council (DYC) member of the EUSDR is now open.

The Danube Youth Council was established in October 2022 as a structure for the institutional inclusion of young people in all bodies of the EUSDR, ensuring that the ideas and opinions of youth are heard and considered at the political level. 

The Danube Youth Council consists of 28 members (aged 18 to 29), with two members from each of the fourteen countries of the Danube Region (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine). 

Youth Council members have the opportunity to: Propose specific actions and projects, highlight significant issues and ideas to high-level politicians from EUSDR countries, contribute to the priorities and policies of the EUSDR, bring attention to the unique characteristics of their regions on a transnational level, participate in all youth activities of the EUSDR, engage in EUSDR events and international events. Eligibility Criteria for Candidates: 
•    you are interested in shaping the future of the Danube Region and want to work together with EUSDR National Coordinators, Priority Area Coordinators and their Steering Groups to bring the Danube Region forward in 12 thematic fields;
•    you are at least 18 years old and under 30 years old;
•    you have permanent residence in a state of the Danube Region;
•    you have a good understanding of the English language; 
•    you are ready to dedicate one year to the Danube Youth Council. This commitment includes participating in approximately 3-4 physical meetings and virtual exchanges, working in small groups on proposals and projects, and voluntarily participating in events, meetings of EUSDR core stakeholders, and further youth activities.
