Good practice of three cities in the Republic of Serbia and opportunity to participate in URBACT programme

The Ministry of European Integration, as national coordinator of URBACT programme, notifies all cities and municipalities that 249 applications from 184 cities and 32 countries were submitted within URBACT call for good practices that was open from 15 April to 30 June 2024.

Three cities from the Republic of Serbia applied for presentation of their good practices. All applications will be evaluated according to criteria indicated in the call, and the URBACT monitoring committee will decide in October 2024 which applications, namely cities, would be awarded and granted the URBACT good practice label.

The selected cities will have the opportunity to present their good practice at the festival of URBACT cities from 8 to 10 April 2025 in Wrocław, Poland.

Within the call for good practice presentation, which will be open from April to June 2025, all cities will be able to apply for participation in transfer networks, while cities awarded the URBACT good practice label will be able to transfer their good practice to other cities.

A new URBACT call is in preparation, designed specifically for the IPA beneficiary countries, which is aimed at: ensuring better understanding of integral sustainable urban development of the EU, improving knowledge about creation and implementation of integral strategies and action plans, and supporting the adoption of good practices and concrete methods and tools for introducing innovations in public administration. The call should be open from mid-October to end-November 2024.
