Two cities from Serbia got their projects approved to participate in the innovation transfer networks of the URBACT programme

In the framework of the second public call for project proposals for forming the Innovation Transfer Networks in the scope of the URBACT programme, open from 10 January until 20 March 2024, two Serbian cities got their projects approved. 

City of Kragujevac will participate as a city-partner within the network “Digital Environment for collaborative Alliances to Regenerate urban Ecosystems in middle-sized cities” (DARE), in which the city of Ravenna in Italy, as a lead partner, will share its good practice.

City of Sombor will participate as a city-partner within the network “CULTURAL Hidden IDentities ReAppear through Networks of WaTer” (Cultural H.ID.RA.N.T.), in which the municipality of Chalandri in Athens, as a lead partner, will share its good practice. 

The Innovation Transfer Networks will start working as of 1 September 2024 and wrap up the transfer process in the scope of its URBACT partnerships by 31 August 2026. 

The Innovation Transfer Networks gather 61 partners from 19 countries and usually create partnerships of mid-size cities. Among 61 partners in new networks, 39 partners are new to URBACT. As regards geographic representation, the majority of partners come from Spain (8), Portugal and Greece (7 each) and Italy (6).
