Students of the 13th class of the Higher Security and Defence Studies of the School of National Defence “Vojvoda Radomir Putnik” (SND) visited the Ministry of European Integration today and spoke with Minister of European Integration Tanja Miščević, who introduced them to the work and role of MEI, as well as key aspects of the European integration process of Serbia.
The Minister presented to the students the history of relations between Serbia and the EU, the conditions that our country needs to fulfil on the road to EU membership, the specifics of the new negotiation methodology, as well as the progress concerning reforms that Serbia has achieved in the process of European integration.
Answering the questions of the students about the position of Serbia in complex geopolitical relations in the modern world, the Minister pointed out that an excellent indicator of Serbia’s alignment with EU foreign policy was precisely the highest level of involvement of our country in EU missions, which were an important element of the Common Security and Defence Policy.
The visit of the SND students was organised as part of the “Open Door” practice of the Ministry of European Integration, which is an important form of communication with the domestic and foreign public about the activities of the Serbian government in the European integration process.
