Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović met today with Luca Gori, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, to discuss the steps Serbia is taking to advance its European Union accession process. Particular attention was given to key reforms necessary for the opening of the remaining clusters, as well as to the implementation of measures under the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and Serbia’s Reform Agenda.
The interlocutors also reviewed the implementation of activities under the Italian development cooperation programme with Serbia, the “Antonione Protocol”.
Minister Starović once again expressed his gratitude to the Government of Italy for its support to Serbia’s European integration process, underlining that Italy’s political, expert and development assistance was of great importance for accelerating reform activities and for the prospect of Serbia’s EU membership.
