J. Joksimović online with FPS students

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has organised a digital visit for the students of the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, within their Modern Diplomacy course, and a discussion on the topic of “Diplomatic policy of the European Union and their focus on the Western Balkans”.

Joksimović has introduced the fourth-year undergraduates with the European Union’s daily practice regarding the inclusion of Serbia and the Western Balkans into its two key and closely related reforms – green and digital.

She has noted that the goal of both agendas is that Europe becomes the first climate neutral continent in 2050, adding that it is important for Serbia to align its national policies with EU policies and thus contribute to its own faster social and economic progress and a better quality of life of its citizens.

Joksimović has informed the students about the ways Serbia negotiates on the EU accession at the political and expert level, telling them about procedures and direct experiences of cooperation with European institutions and EU member states.

After the Minister gave introductory remarks, the students had the opportunity to talk to Jadranka Joksimović and learn more about the ways in which Serbia lobbies for its interests during accession negotiations, how the European integration process is coordinated and what the role of the Chief Negotiator is.

Joksimović has answered students’ numerous questions about all aspects of the Republic of Serbia’s European integration process.
