J. Joksimović: EU funds for medical equipment transport

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has addressed the EU Delegation to Serbia today with a request for EUR 7.5 million to be allocated from the Programme of Civil Protection and Strengthening Disaster Resilience implemented by the UNDP to ensure additional logistical support for 10 flights of cargo planes that will transport medical devices and equipment to Serbia.

Joksimović has reiterated her gratitude for EU support, which is currently directed towards purchasing the necessary equipment (ventilators, monitors, masks etc.) and securing cargo flights by which the equipment is transported to Serbia.

The Ministry of European Integration recalls that, on 20 March, Minister Jadranka Joksimović, Head of EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi and UNDP Resident Representative in Serbia Francine Pickup signed an agreement ensuring the necessary EU assistance in the amount of EUR 7.5 million for the realisation of the programme providing emergency support to the Republic of Serbia in the fight against the further spread of COVID-19.
