Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has assessed that Serbia has a lot of work to do on its road to European integration, but that the EU also has some work to do with regard to the protection of European values and common revitalised Europe as a whole.

The EU Council has adopted a decision on the application of the new enlargement methodology to Serbia and Montenegro, for which Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has said is the formalisation of the earlier decision.

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has participated today on an online ministerial meeting of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region, where she has emphasised the importance of that format of regional cooperation, which significantly contributes to the approximation of the Western Balkans to the European Union.

Serbian Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has assessed that the overarching European integration policy of Serbia is a clear framework for the realisation of sustainable development goals, where various partners are necessary and important.

Europe Day, which is also Victory Day, is a holiday that symbolises the European nations’ decision to live in peace, unity, prosperity and solidarity, after centuries of fighting and mutual destruction, as stated today by Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović.

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has talked today with the French Ambassador to Serbia, Jean-Louis Falconi, and the Head of the Belgrade Office of the French Development Agency, Dominique Hautbergue, about the continuation of Serbia’s EU accession negotiations and further strengthening of bilateral relations.

These days and weeks, a number of so-called non-papers have been circling around, touching upon very sensitive topics. They serve to “feel the pulse” of stakeholders, both regional and international.

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has informed EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi about the expectations according to which Serbia will reach the margin of herd immunity in the next two months, adding that vaccination will soon begin in shopping centres as well.

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has assessed today that media freedom is always a topic for all countries, particularly in a period of crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, and has emphasised that, during the pandemic, the government has informed the Serbian citizens in a transparent, timely and very responsible manner.

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has stated today during a visit to the Public Health Institute ‘Batut’ that Serbia has agreed to a smaller number of vaccines from the batch containing 651,000 doses the EU allocated for the Western Balkans, because they are more needed in countries of the region which have a problem due to the lack of vaccinated medical professionals.
