Coordination body for EU accession process

Subsequent phase of the Stabilisation and Association Process, which involves the implementation of the SAP, preparation for and negotiation of EU membership, implies complex commitments of the state pursuing this direction, and it is supported by adequate coordination mechanism. The Government has consequently, at its session of 23. September 20013, adopted all documents necessary for establishing a structure for negotiations on Serbia's accession to the EU, including the Decision on Establishment of the Coordination Body for the Process of Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union.

The creation of new coordination structures of Serbian institutions is based, among other, upon the EU negotiation experiences, best practices of the new EU member states, size and capacity of Serbian administration.

The following bodies have been established:

1. The Coordination Body

2. The Coordination Body Council

3. The Negotiating Groups
