J. Joksimović: Pristina and Tirana undermine the foundations of Europe

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has assessed that the statement made by Pristina Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, that the border between Kosovo and Albania does not exist anymore, is a cause for concern as well as a warning, because it represents the beginning of a collapse of the foundations laid by the OSCE and the EU that make Europe “whole and free”.

According to her, this both attacks and undermines the multiethnic principle and the European order of peace and stability in the region.

In her statement for Tanjug, Jadranka Joksimović has stressed that Haradinaj’s announcement has also most brutally jeopardised the European order of common security, democracy, rule of law, market economy, values and freedoms, where security is inextricable and where freedoms are based on full respect of all human rights.

Furthermore, she has warned that Haradinaj’s statement dangerously and gravely hampers the continuation of the dialogue, in addition to other Pristina’s unilateral and unlawful moves, such as the violation of the CEFTA Agreement, the SAA and other regional agreements.

Jadranka Joksimović therefore expects the EU to clearly state that Tirana and Pristina’s joint activities do not conform to the fundamental values Europe insists on and affirms.
