J. Joksimović: Threats call for reaction of competent institutions

“Actors on the political scene, especially representatives of parliamentary parties, must learn that they cannot easily make threats and jeopardise anyone’s security, because that implies that competent institutions should react and take appropriate measures,” stated Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović today. She has said that “many who strive to have influence and any kind of significance in the political life of Serbia, particularly representatives of a party that nonetheless entered the Parliament, will have to learn that they cannot easily make threats and jeopardise anyone’s security in a rule-of-law state”.

“This implies that competent institutions should react and take appropriate measures when anyone threatens anyone’s security through public threats of violence and call for lynching, in this case of the highest state officials”, said Joksimović for Tanjug commenting on the death threats that member of parliament from Dveri political party Srđan Nogo made against Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.
