J. Joksimović: EU to assume responsibility as a guarantor of the Brussels Agreement

The European Union must urgently assume the responsibility as the guarantor and mediator in the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, since a successive and openly provocative violation of the Agreement by all the actors in Pristina, which is now the main interlocutor in the dialogue, seriously undermines the trust in EU's readiness to protect the Agreement and facilitate the dialogue, Serbian Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has said for Tanjug.

With regard to the incursion of the Kosovo special forces ROSU into the hydro-power plant Gazivode in the northern part of Kosovo, she has said that "if not adequately treated by the EU, the flexing of muscles for internal purposes by Thaçi, who negotiates on behalf of Pristina, cannot be understood differently than as taking the side of one of the parties in the negotiations, that is, Pristina, which is not and must not be the EU's position."
"The reaction of Serbia and the President (Aleksandar Vučić) is once again responsible and focused on a peaceful, European and democratic solution, and Serbia continues to act in this way, which has to be valued by the EU," Minister Joksimović has stressed.
