Results of the EU Scheme for Young Professionals in the Western Balkans II presented

State Secretary of the Ministry of European Integration Anja Rović has said today in Belgrade that the ‘EU Scheme for Young Professionals in the Western Balkans II’ is an example of good regional cooperation.
"We believe that this project is an example of good regional cooperation. The essence is in strengthening the administrative capacities of young civil servants and connecting them," Rović has said at a presentation of the project at the premises of the EU Info Centre.

Member of the EU Delegation to Serbia Steffen Hudolin has said that the exchange programme for young civil servants represents a good theoretical and practical experience, and that the programme aims to strengthen the capacities in the sector of European integration, as well as to foster regional cooperation.

As part of the project funded by the EU and implemented by the British Council, whose Director for the Western Balkans, Clare Sears, was also present, five young civil servants have spent two weeks in various public administration bodies in the region.

Jelena Drašković from the Ministry of Finance, who is one of the participants in the exchange programme, has said that everyone is satisfied with the programme's progress and that they have acquired a lot of new knowledge and skills.
"We have made some great friendships that we will benefit from, primarily in the professional sense, which is of utmost importance for the programme, but also for us personally," she has said.
