Electronic platform for data exchange in EU accession negotiations of Serbia soon to be available

The Ministry of European Integration, in cooperation with the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ), has organised the first in a series of workshops on the establishment and functioning of an electronic platform for data exchange in EU accession negotiations of the Republic of Serbia, intended for the members of the Negotiating Team, secretaries and deputy secretaries of working groups, and for MEI representatives who follow specific negotiation chapters. The participants will have the opportunity to gain insight into technical possibilities and ways of using the Platform.

Hungary’s support to Serbia and achieved standards

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović has said today that Hungary has been providing strong support to Serbia on its path to the European Union, in particular its Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, who, as she noted, has already proved himself a friend of the enlargement policy in relation to Serbia and an advocate of its faster progress towards the EU.

J. Joksimović: Continued cooperation between Serbia and Croatia on joint projects

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović stated today that the adopted EU strategy for the Western Balkans was one of the strongest messages that the European Commission addressed to Serbia since the outset of the European integration process.


She said that the strategy was generated as an elaboration and a follow-up to the vision of EC President Jean-Claude Juncker, who mentioned 2025 as the approximate year in his response to the questions of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić regarding the time perspective of our country’s accession.

Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović said today that the negotiating framework for Serbia clearly states that chapter 35 in negotiations with the EU, which relates to Kosovo and Metohija, would be the last one to be closed and it is assumed that a legally binding agreement with Pristina, which is not a novelty, would be signed at the end of this process, immediately before the accession.

Serbia – an economically stable state on its path to the EU

According to all economic analyses presented by domestic and foreign institutions, Serbia is an economically stable country on the road of EU accession, it was jointly assessed by the participants of today’s conference “EU - Serbia 2018: Investments, growth and employment”.
