EU is financing the construction of the building for emergency services in Novi Pazar Health Centre and the finishing construction works of a new block within Vranje Hospital

The kick off meeting of the projects “Construction of the Building for Emergency Services in Novi Pazar Health Centre“ and “Finishing of the Construction of a New Block within Vranje Hospital” was organized  on 22nd June 2017 in the premises of the Ministry of Finance (CFCU). This meeting formally represents the beginning of two projects of great importance, funded from EU IPA funds with national cofinancing of total value of more than 4 million euros. The purpose of these projects is to improve conditions for providing necessary medical care delivered annually to 55,000 patients of Novi Pazar Emergency Service and to contribute the improvement of the quality of health care by providing necessary medical care to population of Pčinja District in South Serbia and Pomoravlje District in Kosovo.

The kick off meeting brought together implementing parties, representatives of the local self-governments of Vranje and Novi Pazar, the Serbian European Integration Office as the final beneficiary institution, representatives of Contracting Authority from Ministry of Finance, representatives from the EU Delegation as the main donor, works and supervision contactors and UNOPS as the implementing partner.
