Adriatic-Ionian Transnational Programme Launch Conference

A Conference marking the launch of the Interreg Adriatic-Ionian (ADRION) Transnational Cooperation Programme in the period 2014-2020 is being held on 9-10 December 2015 in Bologna. The conference is organized by the Italian Region Emilia-Romagna and will be attended by representatives of the programme bodies, national and regional governments as well as potential applicants interested in the future call for proposals. The ADRION Programme will support transnational cooperation projects which enhance economic, social and territorial cohesion in the region and is focused on fostering innovation, environmental protection, connectivity and support to the governance of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region. The Programme area covers Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia. €83.4 million was allocated to the Programme from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and €16 million from the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II). The total value of the Cooperation Programme, with national contributions included, is €118 million.
