J. Joksimović: At the panel on the region, Vučić presented Serbia’s positions in the right way

“President Aleksandar Vučić has participated in the panel on the security at the Western Balkans, organised within the 56th Munich Security Conference, where he presented Serbia’s positions in the best possible way regarding Serbia’s European path, as well as the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue”, stated tonight Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović, adding that the President also posed the right and important questions which Serbia expects to be answered.

After participating in this panel that was organised behind closed doors, Joksimović told the journalists in Munich that the important panel had gathered everyone from the Western Balkans, as well as shareholders from the EU and other countries.

“President Vučić posed the right questions to which we want to hear answers, as well as those regarding the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue, undeniably mentioning Pristina’s obligation to abolish unreasonable taxes that have been in force for a year and a half”, said Joksimović.

According to her, an open and interesting dialogue was held at the panel. “I think that President Vučić’s presence and his presentation had a very strong impact, given that irresponsible tones could be heard from some representatives, but what is important is that we are present, that we always and at any moment express our positions in a very clear and honest way”, said Joksimović, adding that honesty is the best thing to offer in international relations.

She has said that Serbian representatives can sit down and talk with everyone, presenting arguments in a decent and normal way.

“We can, in a European manner, exchange our expectations, our proposals, and on the other hand, be a constructive partner in matters that are in the interest of Serbia and, of course, the security of the region”, stated Joksimović.

She has stated that, with regard to security, Serbia has demonstrated to be a country that contributes to the security of not only the Western Balkans but also Europe as a whole.
