Sorbonne students with MEI representatives on Serbia’s European integration

Today at the French Institute, Acting Assistant Minister of European Integration Ksenija Milenković has spoken with first-year students enrolled in Master’s programme "International Relations and European Affairs” of the Paris-Panthéon Sorbonne University. They discussed Serbia’s European integration and why it is important both for Serbia and the EU that the enlargement policy remains high on the Union’s agenda.

EUR 59 million successfully contracted from EU pre-accession funds

The Republic of Serbia has, successfully and within the planned deadline, completed the contracting of projects for the 2014 IPA Programme with a 90.08% contract rate, i.e. in the amount of EUR 59,220,430. So far, 86 contracts have been signed for this programming period.

Within the framework of the Exchange 5 Grant scheme, the implementation of 18 projects in the field of property management at the local level was approved. The projects will be implemented within the Component 1 of the Programme, and will include 48 local self-government units (18 coordinators and 30 partners) as well as a few other users (PUC, development agencies, CSOs).

Opening of the 15th photography exhibition Applied Nostalgia

The 15th photography exhibition Applied Nostalgia, organised by the Ministry of European Integration on the occasion of the Austrian presidency over the Council of the European Union, has been opened today in Yugoslav Cinematheque in Belgrade. The authors of the exhibition are photographers Magdalena Miljkov from Serbia and Christopher Mavrič from Austria, while the idea is to improve cultural exchange between the two countries, as well as to promote European values and cooperation between Serbia and EU Member States.

Cross-border Cooperation Programme Serbia - Macedonia continues to organize workshops on writing projects and info-days for all stakeholders who plan to submit, on time and following EU rules, their project proposals for this Programme’s First Call soon expected to be announced. Following the widespread interest and successful workshops organized in late November in Vranje and Skopje, training courses will be organised in Kumanovo (11 and 12 December) and Leskovac (24 and 25 December). On 26 November 2018, in Pirot, the Sixth Joint Monitoring Committee meeting under Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Bulgaria-Serbia Programme was held.
