Gabriel: The EU will take over funding of the Science Technology Park in Belgrade

EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel has announced that starting from next year the European Union will take over the responsibility of funding the Science Technology Park in Belgrade in the amount of EUR 1.5 million, which has been financed by the Government of Switzerland so far.

EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn has stated that, within the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, territorial exchange and border correction has not been excluded as the final piece of the puzzle. “Any solution must contribute to the stability and prosperity of the region, and both sides must be aware of international obligations and concerns of the international community. According to the latest survey conducted by the Ministry of European Integration every six months, 55 percent of Serbian citizens support Serbia's membership in the EU, which is three percent more than in the second half of 2017, while at the same time the percentage of citizens who oppose this has dropped and currently amounts to 21 percent, stated Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović.
